Features:
This phone is going to hit the stores soon, and promises faster system, longer battery life and enhanced features. It is exactly like the previous version and there isn’t any significant change in the design. It will be available in both white and black colors. The update 3.0 has introduced features ranging from the most basic like MMS to most advance like 3G tethering.
The “S” here stands for speed, therefore making it obvious that the most vital
point of this phone is the boosted speed. This is a two dimensional increase in speed; a new processor will help load and run apps faster (two times, according to Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing) and will perform multitasking nicely, and the AT&T 3G network will offer high speed internet browsing. It is also important to note that the full deployment of faster internet is due for 2011.
IPhone 3G was notorious for its bad battery life. 3G S gives us some hope with 9 hours of Wi-Fi battery life, 10 hours of video playback, 30 hours of audio playback, 12 hours 2G talk time, and 5 hours 3G talk time.
Camera has been upgraded to 3 MP and an auto-focus feature has also been introduced. Fortunately, video recording has reached Apple’s phone, too, as the iPhone 3G S has the ability to record VGA clips at 30 frames per second.
Pros:
- Better processor
- Better internet speed
- Longer battery life
- Enhanced camera
- Video recording
Cons:
- Expensive
Final Words:
This is indeed a nice upgrade from the previous versions of iPhone. With better battery life, enhanced internet speed, nice multitasking ability and good camera, iPhone 3G S has well caught the attention of Apple lovers.
