Tony Hawk fans in UK are facing confusion since two days regarding the platforms at which the latest version of the game, Tony Hawk: Ride is going to release. Of distributing this bewilderment, all the credit goes to Activision UK. At first, news was released, and after the whole uproar among UK gamers, it was simply denied by Activision.

At first, it was being said that in the UK, the Tony Hawk: Ride was going to be released on all three popular platforms; the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Yesterday, the game fans were left bemused by Activision news that Tony Hawk: Ride was going to be an Xbox exclusive in the UK. It was a shock for skateboard game lovers having a Sony PS3 or a Nintendo Wii. The Ride was being speculated much because of the digital skateboard add-on. This was indeed going to give a complete new perspective to the skateboarding game; using a skateboard as a controller instead of ordinary controllers.

Tony Hawks is very popular brand with sports gamers. This is why the initial announcement of release on all three platforms was much appreciated. But the Xbox exclusive news created a lot of confusion. Activision UK released it saying, “Further to Monday’s announcement regarding Tony Hawk: RIDE, Activision UK is pleased to announce that this title will be launched later this year in the UK, as an Xbox 360 platform exclusive.”

The real confusion has begun afterwards, when Activision stated that initial announcement was true, and Tony Hawk: Ride will be reaching all three platforms. It now says, “Further to the erroneous information which was distributed this morning regarding Tony Hawk: RIDE, we would like to clarify that the game is due to be released on the following platforms: Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™ home video game system.” Let us see what the truth is by waiting for the right time for truth to come up.
