Wii is the latest console, from the gaming King NINTENDO, which has righteous intentions of changing the gaming front, by introducing, every now and then, a new game with a new controller. Despite of the recession in every imaginable business Nintendo has managed to keep up its consumer list up to the mark with its exiting new production and reasonable prices.
Nintendo Wii is equipped with a DVD-ROM drive, but the DVD drive is not installed with DVD player or playback function and feature. No one can actually speculate that what were the exact issues behind not installing a DVD player, and as result totally handcuffing the Nintendo owners from playing DVD movie on it. However, in my humble opinion DVD playing option can be ticked marked to YES by using the new Twilight hack on the unmodified Wii.
Anyone who owns a Nintendo Wii and he do not own a DVD player, he can well skip the later as the hack is very simple. Although, there are certain minor additions and changed are mandatory in order to play DVD on Nintendo Wii.
First, you have to add Homebrew Channel.
Second, A modchip.
Third, a Twilight Hack.
Fourth, you have to download and install Installer.dol, which you can find in the DVD installer package.
Fifth, A Mplayer.
The mplayer is fully loaded to play back DVD video, and its had SD card reading files as well. In order to play movie, all you have to do is to launch the media player and watch.
Nintendo Wii Console has also a modchip for which patchmii_core.dol id also required and you have to load patchmii install as well before proceeding to the normal installation.
