Dell Alienware M11X

Alienware M11x is designed by keeping in mind the concept of gaming laptops that are usually heavy, expensive and loud but Alienware has eliminated this idea. The idea behind Alienware is that it is special gaming purpose laptop which gives you high performance. Small gaming laptops which are available at affordable price are rare. Most of the people like small and travel friendly notebook that require small space.

M11x is very nice looking machine and when you are carrying it, its look very decent. It is not small just like a standard notebook. It is 32.7mm thick, 215mm long and 287mm wide with weight of 1.99kg.

Alienware M11x design is very glamorous. Its power button is in shape of alien head surrounded by lights. The logo is not very large, around the keys there are lights on the keyboard and highlight on the front. These lights can easily be customized and set the color which you want.

All features of M11x are outstanding. M11X  has processor of either an Intel 1.3Ghz SU4100 Pentium dual core ultra low voltage or an Intel 1.3Ghz SU7300 Core 2 Duo chip, both overclockable in the BIOS. Notebook use Not only the mobile Intel 4 series express chipset based GPU, but there is also an Nvidia GeForce GT335M discrete GPU which can be actived or deactivated without any rebooting, with 1GB of GDDR memory. This is very good combination for  both playing a decent games up to 30 frames per second on the GT335M and switch to the basic Intel graphics adaptor which is usually for less demanding tasks with extended battery life when needed.

It has 11.6 inch 1366×768 display screen which is sharp, bright and crisp with images and colours. It has very attractive keyboard with backlights which is very helpful your eyes when you work on laptop late night. It has integrated webcam which is functional and peform the security of face recognition.

There are plenty of ports are available in this notebook. both VGA and HDMI sockets are available in M11x that is ideal for connecting any display that might be handy, along with the rarely included Displayport socket. The socket for memory cards are also there which are supported by a built-in reader, and in M11x there are three USB sockets. One of thes USB sockets helps off-line charging, which is great facility for recharging a phone when the M11x is shut down. This notebook also has one great feature which is only present in mobile that is SIM slot but bad new is that it has not built in mobile broad band.

M11x does not have an optical drive. And it is come with window 7. The display is very good just because of 1366×768 resolution. When you look screen from its proper angle its colour and shape looks very good. The screen of M11x is very glossy and that makes colour saturated and will look better. When you are sitting in bright environment and work on laptop you can see your refletion in to screen.

In normal environment like office and home the sound is very doog bur base is nor powerful. The battery time is 2 hours and 30 minutes but when the Wi Fi and webcam is powered off and set the dimmes setting with intel graphic running then you can work continously 4 hours and 16 minutes.

Alienware is latest portable machine that offer capabilities of game at very affordable price and it can also be used as all purpose computer.
