Apple has recently released the iPhone software update 3.0 bringing over 100 new features. This update was being anticipated since long, and has not disappointed us at all. It seems that Apple knows what do the users require and what is their need. Let us have a look at the new entries:
1. First of all, Apple has at last introduced the cut/copy/paste function in the
iPhone. It allows moving text and images form one app to another. Double tap over text and what you get s a “cut/copy/paste” dialog. If you accidentally paste something at a wrong place, shake your iPhone and it will be undone. Copying and pasting multiple images is also possible.
2. Spotlight search is a great feature of iPhone software update 3.0. Now, the users re allowed to search for anything in their entire phone from contacts, email server, calendars, and notes to everything in their iPod.
3. Now, iPhone provides you with more room to type with a Landscape keyboard. It will offer a larger keyboard in messaging, notes, email and browsing.
4. Tethering has been made possible; now you can use your iPhone 3GS as a 3G modem for your laptop. Do not forget that O2 is charging extra money for this feature.
5. MMS had long been absent in the awesome one-of-its-kind phone, but now it is here. Snapshot scenes and people with the improved 3MP camera and send it over to your loved ones. Vcards and audio can be sent, too.
6. Push notifications are finally here. Now, you can get instant messages that the phone will receive automatically whenever an update comes.
7. Now, the users can cut the hassle of importing content to computer first and the transferring it to the phone. Apple has made it possible for users to download movies, TV shows, music videos, and audio books directly form the iTunes store to their phone.
8. Developers have been allowed to use Google Maps in apps, so we all look forward to apps with integrated maps. Interesting!
9. Voice memo app allows users to record a sound clip when they want either with the built in microphone or via the mic of headset.
10. Remote wiping feature allows wiping off the data present in the phone in case it has been stolen, so that no stranger gets his hands on your private data. And in case you just forgot to pick up the phone from the backseat of your car, you can restore the data from backup.
11. Time for stocks! The enhanced stocks app lets you read the news regarding latest market scandals, stock crashes and government aid, as well as watch the charts in landscape mode.
12. Now, you can pair up your phone with Bluetooth stereo headphones, speakers, car kits and such other devices.
13. Safari improvements give you enhanced speed, autofill user names and passwords etc. Also, the intelligent browser will alert you if some malicious website tries to harm your phone.
14. Syncing your notes with you PC or Mac isn’t a bad idea at all, is it? Do not take a chance and enjoy the full functionality of this feature.
15. Parental controls have been enhanced, too, allowing check on movies, TV shows, applications, web sites and music.
So these were some of the most liked features present in the software update 3.0 for iPhone. We are really thankful to Apple for introducing such nice features; good going Apple!
