Agile Software Development

It has been reported that Microsoft will release guidelines for the software developers building online applications and for those utilizing the agile code-development process. MSF for Agile Software Development is a scenario-driven, context-based, agile software development process that utilizes many of the ideas embodied in Team System.

The agile developments are made on the agile guidelines which apply principles from the Microsoft’s Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) to Agile, a term which is frequently used for the web based applications released under the short deadlines called “Sprints”.

The SDL by Microsoft has made the coders able to build a code that will prevent malicious worms and viruses. The original SDL doesn’t fit completely for the agile development because the agile development is a bit different. Microsoft breaks the SDL down into three requirements: one-time only tasks, those that need to be done for every sprint, and finally “bucket” tasks, which need to be repeated periodically — such as every six months.

As the web developments are very famous now a day and many software developers are now shifting their interests towards the web based applications; for this case also Microsoft is bringing a white paper for the developers of such kind of application. Thus for all the system developers Microsoft is providing facilitations for the better development.
